Are db killers removable? Altering dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this can only be done for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the mounting instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If there are problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible online and on youtube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different throttle angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any request for claiming will be rejected. From the date of purchase, the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
