Are dbkillers removable? Altering dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, and each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Necessary Akrapovic KTM MAP. No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on a track only, without bags, without a flashlight, and without a licence plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the modification to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of the product warranty, and any warranty claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard timeframe for repair.
