Are the dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise-approved, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Necessary Akrapovic KTM MAP. No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or to watch the tutorials available on youtube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racetrack use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without bag, flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. Starting from the purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
