Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or the anti-tamper bolts, or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. The use of the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
If you purchase online, it is recommended to buy the product from a vendor in YOUR COUNTRY to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals, which must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight and license plate holder or any other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle due to conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty. From the purchase date, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
