Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalytic converter or the anti-tamper screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not in compliance with public road regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately contact customer service for information and/or advice.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR COUNTRY to ensure the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your public road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without a luggage rack, without a flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the altered gas angle due to the modification to the racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. Starting from the purchase, with the right of repair returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
