Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the clamp is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to request information and/or advice from customer service immediately.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bag, flashlight, and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle resulting from the transformation to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
