Are the db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not in compliance with EU guidelines; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as assembly instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In the event of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? YES.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on track only, without luggage, without a flashlight, and without a license plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Misusing this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any claim will be denied. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
