Removable db killers? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws, or removing the fixation is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and for conducting the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If any problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Original cut version: No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on track only, without a bag, flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that may interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. This starts from the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
