Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only permitted for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not in compliance with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, and the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations and to have the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, and no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, and each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to seek information and/or advice from customer service immediately.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on youtube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without any bags, without a flashlight and license plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the different throttle angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
