Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still advisable to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without saddlebags, without flashlight, and without license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different throttle angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR’s factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard turnaround time for repairs.
