Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on public roads is not compliant with traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the mounting instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different throttle angle due to the transformation into a race version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair and return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
