Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to conduct the annual inspection.
The kit can be used for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play; however, it is still recommended to install them in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate and installation instructions are provided; each silencer carries the approval code. If any issues are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity and to immediately seek information or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to a race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer as a replacement for the one to be repaired; the customer must accept to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
