Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws, or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If any issues occur during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in racing; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
