Are removable dbkillers allowed? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is NOT ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, without flashlight and number plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the different throttle angle resulting from the conversion to the race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
