Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or tamper-proof screws, or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is certified for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions, each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend work, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight and without a license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle resulting from the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, the customer has the right to repair, returning to GPR or the nearest official distributor at their expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one needing repair; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard timeframe for repair.
