Are removable db killers allowed? Altering db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives, this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on public roads is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is certified for noise; the customer must check in advance if having the original or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
A specific certification is provided, as well as assembly instructions; each silencer bears the certification code. If any issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are necessary for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike solely as on the track, without bags, flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle following transformation into race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
