Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as the assembly instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and to immediately ask for information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for use in races; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, without flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abusing this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
