Italy,
Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check beforehand whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with the road traffic regulations and to undertake the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is included, along with the assembly instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are needed for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and youtube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight and license plate holder or any other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in a loss of the product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the moment of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the closest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
