Italy,
Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines. This is only possible for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise; the customer must check beforehand whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it's still recommended to install them in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions. Each muffler carries the homologation code. If any issues are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bag, without flashlight, and number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new muffler instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
