Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or the anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in cases of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on youtube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight, and without a license plate bracket or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Misusing this situation on the road will lead to the loss of product warranty, and any request for compensation will be denied. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to GPR or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
