Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the bracket is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check beforehand if the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If any issues are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or look at tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer takes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if it were on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or other parts that could conflict with the different gas angle following the modification to the racing version. Abusing this situation on the road will lead to the loss of product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, the client has the right to repair with a return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at their own expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
