Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the bracket is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise-approved; the customer must verify in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without a bag, flashlight, number plate holder, or other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any claims will be rejected from the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to GPR or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
