Are removable dbkillers allowed? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper bolts or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit only applies to local citizens and not to tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is NOT ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without saddlebag, without spotlight, number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different angle of the gas due to the conversion to racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right of repair by returning to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
