Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on roads does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic laws and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the assembly instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If any problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to seek information and/or advice from customer service immediately.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are needed for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without saddlebags, flashlight, number plate holder, or other parts that could interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, there is a right to repair with a return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot supply a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
