Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixings is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is possible only for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as assembly instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activities, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is required only for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the available tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use. Removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on track only, without bags, flashlight, license plate holder, or other parts that would conflict with the different throttle angle due to the transformation to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. This starts from the purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
