Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on roads is not compliant with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check beforehand whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in the event of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Unique right position silencer with catalyst suppressor tube. No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, flashlight, license plate holder, or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. From the time of purchase, rights to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor are at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of a repairable one; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
