Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks. The use of the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on youtube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for race use; removing the dbkiller is not only illegal but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without a suitcase, flashlight, and license plate holder or other parts that might interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any warranty claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
