Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, the use of the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still advisable to install products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on track only, without luggage, without flashlight and without number plate support or any other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty and any claims will be denied. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
