Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in the event of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95dB for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without a saddle bag, flashlight, license plate holder, or other parts that would conflict with the various angle of the gas due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. This starts from the purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
