Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is non-compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise regulations; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with local road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer has the homologation code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is advised to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if it's on the track only, without luggage, flashlight, number plate holder, or any other parts that would conflict with altered gas angles due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, rights for repair with return to the GPR factory or the closest official distributor will be at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
