Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modifications of the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and without a number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. The warranty period starts from the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one for repair; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
