Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the fittings is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions, each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It's recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer takes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in product warranty loss. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair and return to GPR or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired, the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
