Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on a track only, without bags, without flashlight, and without number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the altered gas angle due to the transformation into racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in exchange for the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
