Are the db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tampering screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and does not conform to EU directives; this is only allowed for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
CAUTION: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to conform to road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, flashlight, and number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the altered angle of the gas due to the conversion to race version. Misusing this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one for repair; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
