Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must first check if the presence of the original catalytic converter or GPR catalytic converter is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If problems are encountered during installation, it's compulsory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use on the track; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if it were on the track, without a bag, without a flashlight, and without a license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to the loss of the product warranty. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
