Are db killers and removable catalytic converters allowed? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalyst or removing the anti-tamper screws or fixing is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before buying that the seller is trustworthy and offers items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without flashlights, and without license plate holders or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair and return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
