Are db killers and catalytic converters removable? Altering the welds on the db killer and the catalytic converter or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the mounting instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. If you encounter any problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
If you buy online, it is recommended to purchase the product from a seller in YOUR NATION to ensure that the item arrives with the appropriate approvals that must also comply with local legislation. Make sure before purchasing that the seller is trustworthy and offers the items for your road network.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or tutorials available on and on youtube.
The exhaust is equipped with a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bag, without flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
