Are the db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-theft bolts or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: This item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to undergo annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is advised to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions, each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without luggage, flashlight, number plate holder, or other parts that could interfere with the different throttle angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product guarantee and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair, returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
