Are the db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install them in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer has the homologation code. If any issues are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, without a spotlight, and without a license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different angle of gas following the conversion to the racing version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, and any request for replacement will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
