Are removable db killers allowed? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with the regulations of public road traffic.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if having the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to request information and/or advice from customer service immediately.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on Youtube.
The exhaust comes with a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle like on track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, and without the license plate holder or any other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the change to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in a loss of product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
