Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in cases of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of any issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is required only for local citizens and not tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for use in races; removing the db killer is NOT ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on track only, without bags, without flashlight and license plate holder or any other parts that could interfere with the different throttle angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right of repair reverting to GPR or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
