Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only permitted for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and to undergo annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it's still recommended to have them installed at a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on youtube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on a track, without saddlebags, flashlights, number plate holder, or any other parts that might conflict with the different gas angle following the conversion to a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of the product warranty, and any claims will be rejected. From the date of purchase, the right to repair is granted with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
