Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is this limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not for tourists.
It is designed to be mounted at a high position. No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on a track only, without saddlebags, flashlight, number plate holder, or any other parts that might interfere with the altered gas angle due to conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty, and any claim will be rejected. This applies from the date of purchase, with the right to repair through GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace one under repair; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
