Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to perform the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required to install the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions included in the package or the tutorials available online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without luggage, flashlight, and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any claim will be denied. From the date of purchase, the right to repair is with the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
