Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixings is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately ask for information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight and number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle following the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one to be repaired, the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
