Are removable dbkillers allowed? Altering the dbkiller welds or tamper-proof screws or removing the fittings is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise homologated, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as the installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If any issues are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
It is designed to be mounted in a high-level position. No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for track use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without any luggage, flashlight and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the change to a race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product guarantee and any request for warranty will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to remount the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
