Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-theft screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only permissible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on public roads is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for annual inspection.
The kit can be used for official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as assembly instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
It is designed to be mounted in a high-level position. No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on a track only, without bags, without flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle resulting from the transformation to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, with repair rights reverting to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait for the standard turnaround time for repair.
