Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds, anti-tamper screws, or removing the mount is illegal for road use and not in compliance with EU guidelines; this is only permitted for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and for annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific approval certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, flashlight or license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair by returning to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
