Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only allowed for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public roadway regulations.
WARNING: this item is homologated for noise; the customer must verify in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with public roadway regulations and to conduct the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have them installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in the event of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. If any issues arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if it was on the track only, without luggage, without a spotlight, or registration plate holder, or any other parts that would interfere with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one being repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
