Are dbkillers removable? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public roadway regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise levels, the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with roadway regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. If there are any issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation in order to use the product in its approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for track use; removing the dbkiller is NOT ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the bike as on the track only, without luggage, flashlight, number plate holder or any other parts that may conflict with the altered gas angle due to the transformation to the race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in a loss of the product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one that needs repairing; the customer must agree to re-install the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
